Anyone have an understanding of how FaceBook codes it's "messenger" web pages? I'm trying to write a script that will trigger an alert if a user is "online," i.e. has a green dot with the word "Web" or "Mobile" next to it. The column of prospective chatters is on the right. I can click one to get a more focused page, with a url like:

https://www.facebook.com/messages/1234567890

But I haven't been able to winnow out the smoking gun, i.e. the text in the page source that tells me whether this person is online or not.

Thanks in advance,
Steven

Have you considered using the site's messaging APIs.  I believe a dotNet version of the APIs that may work with WinBatch is available.  If not, there are other flavors of the APIs to choose from.
