Title: New to WinBatch
Post by: AMO on June 17, 2018, 07:25:32 PM
Hello,

I'm just starting out learning WinBatch for my job and I was wondering if there was any good tutorials or videos,
that others have used to learn from. I would appreciate it a lot to even get some pointers on how to start off.

Thank you,
~amo

This stuff is dated and over the years there have been new functions and features that will supersede some things but most of it will still be applicable and useful.   Something I have also found helpful is just go to the Help and read down through the list of functions to get an idea of what is available.  You may not remember specifics and have to go back to the Help but you will often remember that what you need is in there somewhere.

In addition to Jim's very useful post you might want to be more specific as to how WB will integrate with your job.  Will your position often focus on

Networking
User Support / Active Directory / software installations
working with Microsoft Office apps
remote support
data mining ..... etc

as you can be pointed to specific sections in the Tech Database where all those area are covered.
