Title: Tech Support Database and Printed Manuals
Post by: jsoutherland on June 15, 2016, 01:44:14 PM
I have used Winbatch for years, at least as far back as 2004 but I think it was earlier.  I left IT a while back and don't have a chance to use the product as much as I used to.  Still renew every year though.  I am saddened by the decision to retire the product but I understand.  I had a couple of questions.

#1 - I seem to remember the ability to download the tech database as an offline copy.  I think that was removed at some point with the website design but I was wondering if that would be possible at some point or the directions if I am just missing it.
#2 - Printed Manuals - I typically pay for a printed manual during renewal.  When I pay my maintenance in a few months will printed copies of the manual still be available?

Thanks so much for the ability to securely automate my environments for so many years!  This product will be missed!

The Tech Support Database is available here:

http://techsupt.winbatch.com/techsupt/wb_techdb_zip.zip  (http://techsupt.winbatch.com/techsupt/wb_techdb_zip.zip)

It is automagically updated as needed.

WindowWare no longer provides printed manuals.  You can download the manuals in PDF form from the WinBatch download webpage.  A link is available as a menu item near the top of the webpage you are viewing.

Should add that WinBatch will not magically disappear from your computer on June 30th, 2017.  If the past is any indicator of the future, the last WindowWare releases of WinBatch should continue to provide utility for years to come.
