Title: Installing Fonts - Suppress Prompt
Post by: keslaa on November 08, 2018, 06:42:12 AM
I am installing a new set of fonts company wide and am using the methods described here: http://techsupt.winbatch.com/webcgi/webbatch.exe?techsupt/tsleft.web+WinBatch/How~To+Install~a~font.txt

This works fine unless one of the fonts is already installed. If it is installed, the user will get prompted as whether or not to proceed with the install. How can I suppress or answer "YES" to this? Is there a way to determine the fonts already installed and compare ahead of running the command? I was already listing the contents of the Windows\Fonts directory and comparing to the file names of the new ones but that didn't catch all of them.

Maybe I am missing something but why not just check the registry for the font's existence before installing the font?
