Using RunWithLogon with Other Winbatch Commands
« on: February 15, 2019, 07:03:04 am »
I am trying to create a System DSN but am erroring due to it needing privs to load.  Does anybody know whether you can embed a winbatch command in a RunWithLogon command or have suggestions of how to run a command with elevated privs other than RunWithLogi?

You need to provide more information.  For example,

  • Which version or versions of Windows will your script execute on?
  • What is or are the UAC configuration settings on the system or systems?
  • Which type of user account will be executing the script?
  • Which version of WinBatch are you using?

The RunWithLogon function is used both for executing other applications and other WinBatch scripts.  Its basic usage is covered in the Consolidated WIL Help file and does not need to be repeated here.
