Ordering Winbatch
« on: December 19, 2016, 10:53:06 pm »
If I order winbatch + compiler is it a download link I will get? or is a box being sent? Would rather just download, but wanted to be sure before I purchased it.

WinBatch+Compiler is only distributed via a download.

Really?  That must have changed recently (i.e., sometime in the last 10 years).

I remember Marty saying frequently that people appreciate the "thunk" factor - meaning, that if you pay $500 for something, it should make a "thunk" when it hits your desk.

So, really, no printed manuals anymore?  No large package arriving in the mail?

Welcome to the 21st century.  Shrink-wrap software is more or less a thing of the past.  WinBatch and WinBatch+Compiler have been download only for quite some time.

Actually, I misspoke.  It should be "thud", not "thunk".

We have a few thunks coded into WinBatch but no 'thuds'.

I actually know what a "thunk" is, in CS terminology.

The assumption that you did permitted the feeble attempt at humor.
