I wrote a script and compiled it. Put it in the user's startup folder and every time it starts, the error, "You are attemping to open a file of type 'Application Extension' (.DLL). If I don't do anything when the error comes up, it works anyway, but the box with the error remains. I do have a wbdmb44i.dll that appeared in that same folder when I first ran the .exe.
Please provide some of the following specifics:
- WinBatch Version
- Windows Version
- Compiler option used ( large or small EXE )
- path where the script was placed in Windows
Winbatch version 2013b
Windows XP
Compiler - large
c:\documents and settings\zminnie\start menu\programs\startup
At one point I was running it from c:\jcpl in the registry RUN key. That didn't work either.
Thanks.
Put it somewhere else. Make a shortcut to it, and only have this shortcut in the Startup folder.... that should launch the exe on startup and not try to run the dll
Thanks. That fixed it.
