Don't think I've mentioned this before but a couple of things that would be REALLY helpful are:
Ctrl+a would select all the controls
When holding the Ctrl key and clicking a control which has already been selected it would unselect it.
What often happens is that I have selected a large number of controls and then accidentally select one I don't want. I am left having to start all over with the selection process and, of course, it gets really annoying when I do it again
