I've recently come across an issue opening my project files. A network admin colleague migrated my files to a new storage device, as the file server I was using is ancient. The new storage location is in a hidden folder called \\server\userS\. When I try to open .wbt files stored there, nothing happens. The files won't open in WinBatch.
We've checked the permissions of the new folder against the old location, the new one actually has more.
I've moved the same file out of the users$ folder to a different folder on the storage device, and they open.
I've resorted to setting my backups to go to the users$ location and moving all of my .wbt files down to my HDD.
