Sorry, I know this is probably an old, old, topic, but I couldn't figure out how to find it.

How can I enable the "normal" windows controls on my dialogs?

btw, the example here: http://techsupt.winbatch.com/webcgi/webbatch.exe?techsupt/tsleft.web+WinBatch/Dialog~Editor/Dialog~Editor~version~6.2/Samples+MSHTML~Button~Click.txt
does have them, but I'm not seeing what turns them on.

DialogProcOptions 1002 to change System Menu: Change the dialogââ,¬â,,¢s title bar system menu. Note: this dialog option overrides the system menu settings established with IntControl 49.

My Cancel button works in the dialog, but my X in the title bar doesn't. Is there something else I need to set to let the dialog get closed by the X?

DialogProcOptions 1002 should be sufficient to close the dialog using the x in the upper right hand corner of your dialog. If you experience otherwise please post the code you are having an issue with.

Using DialogProcOptions(Schmandle, 1002, 2) provides the Close and Minimize options for my dialog.

It doesn't seem that there's any option for Minimize only. Or... should it be that clicking the X would transfer script control to a :cancel subroutine within my callback UDF?

Deana

That is correct the following options are available with DialogProcOptions 1002:

Quote
0 - no menus
1 - close
2 - close and minimize
3- close and maximize
4 - close, minimize and maximize
-1 - return current setting

Question: Does your code contain a Dialog Callback Procedure? If so this code sample can be used to capture the user pressing the x close button.

That's it, great, thank you; I hadn't noticed the MSG_CLOSEVIA49=11 option before!
