Will not be migrating posts form the older forum. The old forum will be archived. This will be a fresh new start.

 can you stop people being allowed to start new posts on the old forum? ... there were quite a few in the last couple of days.

Perhaps you might be able to link to the new one if they try?
Or at least have a very prominent notice and re-direction to this new forum, as the landing page of the old one, before being allowed to proceed to login (and hopefully then to only be able to read or reply to existing posts) for a few weeks?

That will get this new one humming, and let the old one fade away gracefully.

Our plan: We will be transitioning over the next 90 days, at which time, the old forum will become read-only. In the meanwhile we will be posting a notice about the transition in the old forum. Once the transition is complete users will always be directed to the new forum and will only be able to access the retired forum via board link on the main page of this new forum.

Not I!

Virtually every other board I visit regularly uses an interface more like this one, and I like it much better. Once you've been here for a while, i think you will, too, when you discover how much easier it is to create legible messages.

Actually I participate on a number of forums like this one and GREATLY prefer WebBoard over all of them.  Obviously there are things that make formatting posts easier but in regards to layout I still wonder why all of them go this route other than that it is probably easier to program.

This board doesn't use frames. Yay!
