The WebKitX folks have provided a fix in their September release so one can now utilize the Settings. Not sure it is on their download page yet but I have tested it and it works. Here is an example browser. They have a barebones example you may want to start with if you have trouble with mine at all. To state the obvious, you do have to download their control and install it before this will work.

If you decide to buy a license I will mention that you need to use the key from the license file and not what they initially send you for the License String in the dialog control settings.
