Title: Licensing Issue
Post by: JTaylor on February 09, 2026, 08:11:19 AM
I will try again here as emails have failed.   Whenever I use the right-click menu from Windows Explorer for WinBatch related things it prompts for my License Info.  It always fails.  It works fine when I double-click on a script to run it.  Just seems to be related to right-click menu actions.

(( Jim, I'm gonna poke my nose in here to say that when I've had this before, I fixed it by running the winbatch.exe program from the menu, which produces the "Winbatch Navigator" screen.  The "License Info" button in the lower left gives a place to put your numbers.  That fixed it for me. ))

Thanks for the reply.

It shows the correct info under License Info under Navigator.

Use the Navigator to erase the license information, reboot, and then enter the license info from Navigator. I have personally never had the problem, but once every few years, a user reports the issue. The above sequence has corrected it in most cases.

That did it.  Thank you.

Any chance of a reply on my email regarding the WebBatch license?

Never got an email message on WebBatch licenses. You will need to send it again. Include the problematic license numbers in the email message.
