Is it possible to trigger something in a dynamic dialog just be selecting the droplist? I'd actually like the droplist to populate upon the user clicking it to view the options.
You will need to add an event to capture droplistbox selections then use DialogControlSet option 5 to update the droplistbox. The code might look something like this:

Thanks Deanna, I'll give it a try. It's just that the doco seems to suggest that this would only trigger upon actually selecting or changing the value, not just clicking on the down arrow of the list control.

Yes that is correct you would actually need to select an item in the droplist box. Maybe you should consider creating a small button next to the drop list box to handle the droplist box population.
I'm having some trouble with using the DialogProcOptions with two Radio buttons.
It works fine but interferes with other pushbutton routines that change the "player boxes".
It automatically replaces the text displayed in the "player boxes" during other routines and I'd like to disable it during those routines.
Is there a way to disable it temporarily while executing some code with a pushbutton?
Here's the basic code for it:
MSG_Initialization=0
MSG_RADIOBUTTON=3
case 0 ; The Dialog Initialization call
DialogProcOptions(dlghandle,MSG_RADIOBUTTON, 250)
break
case MSG_RADIOBUTTON ;;; UPDATES PLAYER BOX TEXT ACCORDING TO RADIO BUTTONS
num_players=dialogcontrolget(dlghandle,032,2)
if num_players==0
num_players=2
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,024,4, "Cur/Player2") ;;;SET DESCRIPTIVE TEXT FOR PLAYER BOXES
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,025,4, "Player1") ;;;
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,026,4, "") ;;;
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,023,4, "")
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,023,11, "0|0|0")
else
num_players=3
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,024,4, "Cur/Player3") ;;;SET DESCRIPTIVE TEXT FOR PLAYER BOXES
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,025,4, "Player2") ;;;
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,026,4, "Player1") ;;;
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,023,4, "0")
dialogcontrolset(dlghandle,023,11, "0|0|255")
endif
break
Maybe look at the "Dialog Disable" function of dialogprocoptions?
