Can WB work with Brotli Compression with strings? No immediate need, just a question.

Just for fun... this is Brotli

Brotli is a typically good Google creation mostly used for compression of web pages and other web based download activity. I added to an in-house extender at one point but it never proved particularly useful. I am sure you can PowerWhatever your way to success if the need ever arises.

I do know that there is an exploit floating around for some implementations of Brotli. This forum has been patched for that problem.

Speaking of exploits, this forum is PHP-based but not vulnerable to the latest AI-discovered PHP vulnerability. It was a concern because, once a fix is issued, bad actors can reverse-engineer it to figure out how to exploit the vulnerability.

Yeah, agreed just was asked by old client who loads web content basically related to their business. Asked if they could create it, would their WB script/EXE's be able to transport it. Sure, PS has cmdlets to handle Brotli but doesn't answer their WB question. Personally a moot point, surprised you haven't been asked if WB does AI

I thought I did answer the question and I am not aware of any users asking about WinBatch supporting AI in some fashion. The AI questions have been related to LLMs not being able to write WIL scripts. However, I have found that not to be entirely the case. It is just a question of which LLM you target with the right tokens; Otherwise, you get the phantom function problem.

Should add that this likely a way to create a .Net standard Brotli application that is callable from WIL but it seems more work that it's worth. Of course, a user could always create their own Brotli extender. I would rather throw some bratwurst on the grill. Add some real German sauerkraut and German mustard on a French bread hoagie for a nice meal (and hope the PCP doesn't hear about it.)

We make our own sauerkraut, and Nancy just cooked duck breast with kielbasa over German noodles - to die for.

But, as this board is less and less about code and sharing, be interesting to get some thoughts about the building blocks for AI. I remember being told I should really learn more about Python, that Excel or other Office scripting were going to be a distant past; same for web scraping. I still have a LinkedIn account I wish I can get rid of, but daily get posts from people I used to work with with their fancy titles like 'Senior Coordinator for Internet Intelligence' now advertising they are available for work. Gonna die, not poor, not rich, hopefully not babbling out VietNam. But the AI stuff... what did I miss?
